Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
At Myles Truck Repair, with our trusted partner True North Fleet Services, we are looking for an experienced Mobile Diesel Technician who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and on the road. This position supports fleet uptime by performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and quality repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers at customer locations and in the field. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician who can work independently, solve problems, represent our team professionally, and take ownership of getting the job done right.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers at customer and field locations. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, electrical, and related components. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues. Complete DOT inspections and help ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards. Respond to customer service needs and communicate repair recommendations clearly. Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed. Take ownership of assigned work from diagnosis through completion. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and properly equipped mobile service vehicle. Partner with drivers, customers, service advisors, technicians, and leadership to keep equipment moving.QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of diesel or heavyduty maintenance experience in a fleet, dealership, or independent shop environment preferred. Previous mobile or field service technician experience strongly preferred. ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain. Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic capabilities. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and DOT inspection requirements. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a field environment. Strong customer communication, organization, and followthrough. Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and personal accountability. Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus but not required.WHAT WE OFFER
