Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operational, minimize downtime, and support the efficient running of our operations. Responsibilities Perform diesel engine diagnostics and repairs. Repair diesel systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, HVAC, etc. Repair and service air brake and hydraulic brake systems. Perform suspension, steering, wheel bearing, hub, seal, and axle repairs. Diagnose and repair drivetrain components, including transmissions, differentials, and driveline systems. Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems. requirements. Performs preventative maintenance and DOT related repairs and inspections Diagnose and repair fuel systems. Troubleshoot and repair alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units. Diagnose and repair A/C and heating systems. Perform cooling-system repairs, including radiators, hoses, water pumps, thermostats, and coolant services. Perform oil changes, fluid services, filter replacement, lubrication, and scheduled maintenance. Inspect vehicles and identify additional repairs or safety concerns. Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, meters, gauges, and standard shop equipment. Complete repair orders accurately and document diagnostic findings, parts required, and work performed. Utilize maintenance management software to create repair orders, allocate inventory, and maintain accurate records. Test-drive vehicles when necessary to verify repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly care for company tools, equipment, customer vehicles, and property. Communicate with the management regarding repair status, additional problems, and parts needed. Able to explain repair procedures and properly demonstrate one's knowledge in diesel repair. Able to guide / train fellow technicians Able to work in a garage setting where temperatures depend upon the outside environment. Experienced with trailer repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- MUST have 10+ years of verifiable experience with diesel trucks (Required)
- Certifications and or/trainings in related field (ASE)
- Troubleshoot & repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
- Lubricate or clean machines using various tools. Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities. Experience with diesel engines, air brakes, electrical systems, suspension, steering, and drivetrain systems. Able to lift 50-100 lbs. Must have your own basic hand tools. Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.

$24.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
