Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components using OEM schematics and electrical diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and trailers to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Troubleshoot equipment issues including suspension systems, air brakes, alignment problems, HVAC systems, and tire service to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Support heavy lifting tasks and perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate. Skills Proven experience working in dealership environments or with heavy equipment servicing is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engine repair, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues efficiently. Proficient with diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics and electrical diagnostics to accurately identify problems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with power tools safely. Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, loaders, forklifts, and farm machinery. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repair needs or technical issues.
