Diesel Mechanic We just partnered with a local, growing company that's looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team. If you know your way around diesel engines and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this could be a great opportunity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and heavy equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other components. Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment to get the job done right. Read and understand service manuals, schematics, and repair information. Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance. Communicate with management and operations when equipment needs attention. Keep the shop and work area clean, safe, and organized. Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines. Work efficiently to keep equipment up and running. Other duties may be assigned.

COMPETENCIES

Solid knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment. Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills. Ability to diagnose problems and get equipment back on the road. Good understanding of preventative maintenance. Strong attention to detail and pride in your work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. ASE certification and/or CDL is a plus. Diesel or heavy equipment repair experience preferred. Take the next step in your career and
