- to take charge from day one.
Pay :
$25 - $35 per hour (based on experience and skill level)Position Overview:
- As our Lead Diesel Mechanic, you will be the go-to expert in the shop—responsible for diagnosing complex issues, performing high-level repairs, and helping establish processes, standards, and workflow for the entire operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and fleet equipment at an expert level
- Lead all shop maintenance operations and ensure quality workmanship
- Set up shop processes, maintenance schedules, and best practices
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and major component repairs
- Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, electrical, and after-treatment systems
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist in building and guiding the shop team as we grow
Requirements :
- Extensive experience as a diesel mechanic (fleet experience strongly preferred)
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of shop operations
- Leadership mindset with the ability to set standards and mentor others
- Own tools required
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
