Job Description
Overview Ground Transport, Inc is a locally owned school bus transportation company that has been operating in Hawaii for over 35 years. We are seeking an experienced full-time Diesel Mechanic for our Maui Maintenance Facility located in Pulehunui Industrial Park - Pu'unene .
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Ability to perform repairs on Cummins Diesel Engines, Ford Gas Engines.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical & fuel systems.
- Ability to work on air/hydraulic brake systems.
- Ability to perform thorough and accurate Preventative Maintenance Services.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical defects and perform repairs.
- Perform road service-calls and repairs on Company equipment as required.
- Ability to read and understand diagnostic codes and schematics.
- Accurately document repairs and parts on work orders.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a heavy equipment Diesel Mechanic.
- Valid Commercial Driver's license or the ability to get one within 90 days of hire (assisted by company).
- Provide own tools.
