Job Description
Diesel Mechanic Caldwell, ID | Full-Time Launch Your Career with IST/Sauer Transport IST/Sauer Transport is a family-owned, growing transportation company that takes pride in its people. We're looking for a motivated Diesel Mechanic who is eager to learn, work hard, and build a long-term career maintaining medium and heavy-duty trucks. If you have mechanical aptitude, enjoy solving problems, and want to work alongside experienced technicians, we'd love to meet you. CDL preferred but not required. Wage is based on experience and open for discussion. What You'll Do As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll assist with maintaining our fleet by performing: Preventative maintenance inspections and services Brake repairs (air and hydraulic systems) Steering and suspension repairs Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics Warranty repairs and documentation Tire repairs and replacements (experience is a plus) Shop maintenance and organization Safe operation of trucks and shop equipment Accurate completion of repair orders and paperwork Additional duties as assigned by the Shop Manager What We're Looking For Mechanical aptitude required Previous mechanical experience preferred (automotive, diesel, farm equipment, heavy equipment, etc.) Valid driver's license Ability to pass a DOT physical Basic computer and paperwork skills Ability to provide your own basic hand tools (or acquire them within a reasonable timeframe) Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Team player willing to learn CDL preferred but not required Why Join IST/Sauer Transport?
