GFL Environmental is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of waste and recycling trucks. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment for waste and recycling operations Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections on fleet vehicles Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, brake, and drivetrain systems Complete accurate work orders, repair records, and parts usage in maintenance system Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and DOT regulations Collaborate with drivers and operations staff to prioritize and schedule repairs Respond to road calls and support emergency repairs as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and work area Assist with parts identification, ordering, and inventory control Required Skills Diesel engine repair Hydraulic systems Brake systems Electrical diagnostics Preventive maintenance Welding and fabrication Fleet inspections Shop safety procedures Use of diagnostic tools Maintenance documentation
