Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and take advantage of a lucrative $5,000 sign-on bonus! In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will keep our fleet operating smoothly and efficiently, ensuring safety and reliability across various industrial and farm machinery. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will directly contribute to our operational success and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment, and air brake inspections to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Fabricate and modify parts using welding, hand tools, power tools, and schematics to meet specific repair needs. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems on farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy trucks to identify issues accurately. Follow safety protocols during all repair activities; perform heavy lifting and use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Maintain detailed service records, inspection logs, and repair documentation for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced. Skills Extensive dealership or heavy equipment experience with a focus on diesel mechanics. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and engine overhaul. Strong knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical systems troubleshooting. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of assembling or repairing equipment parts. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely. Ability to perform tire service, suspension repairs (shocks & struts), brake repair, alignment services, and powertrain maintenance. Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
