Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and specialized tools to identify mechanical or electrical issues in semi trucks and heavy equipment Conduct repairs on suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, hydraulics, air brake systems, and other mechanical systems to restore vehicles to optimal working condition Utilize fabrication skills for custom parts or modifications when necessary; operate welding equipment and power tools safely and effectively Maintain and service vehicle components such as tires (including tire service), alignment Conduct regular preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles; document repairs accurately; assist with vehicle assembly or equipment repair projects as needed Qualifications Proven experience as a Heavy Truck or Semi Truck Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment operation is highly valued Extensive knowledge of diesel mechanics, automotive electrical systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and brake repair techniques Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance apparatus Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques; ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely Strong customer service skills; capable of communicating technical information clearly to team members or clients Certifications related to heavy truck repair or diesel mechanics are advantageous; experience working with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is a plus Join us in maintaining a fleet that keeps industries moving!
