DIESEL TRUCK TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC

Work on a diverse fleet of diesel trucks and equipment, including:- Preventive and proactive maintenance
- Diesel engine diagnosis and repair
- Electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air system diagnosis and repair
- Electronic diagnostic systems and fault-code troubleshooting
- A/C maintenance
- DOT annual inspections as needed
- Minor repairs including lights, tires and other components
- Thorough vehicle inspections to identify defects and prevent breakdowns
- Document repairs, defects and maintenance performed
- Communicate equipment issues and repair needs
- Work with other mechanics and service personnel to complete repairs safely and efficiently
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of diesel truck/mechanical experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of truck systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks
- Experience using electronic diagnostic systems
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain one through company training
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to continue learning
