Overview Join our team as a Diesel Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide variety of heavy-duty equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery. This role offers an opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise at our heavy duty truck dealership. As a Diesel Technician, you will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct routine maintenance on International Trucks & Cummins Engines. Your skills will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our customers' fleets and equipment. We are fully aware that diesel technicians are difficult to come across. Based on that, we will come to an agreement on pay based on skill set and experience. Our pay is competitive with benefits, however as we are a family owned company we offer flexibility that large corporations do not. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues on diesel engines and heavy equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools Perform repairs and maintenance on trucks Conduct engine overhauls, transmission repairs, suspension work, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and wheel alignments Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs efficiently Inspect vehicle systems including air brakes, hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and vehicle electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards Maintain detailed service records and complete all necessary documentation for work performed Perfom warranty work in a timely manner Requirements Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics or automotive repair Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures Experience working with schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical systems Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate power tools effectively

Pay:

From $32.71 per hour
