Job Description

Description Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, has an opportunity for a Diesel Technician I. This position will perform vehicle repairs and services (including road service) on customer's vehicles while also delivering the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction. Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction standards are met. Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards which includes maintaining a neat and clean work area by disposing of all waste products properly. Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections. Perform preventive maintenance on customer vehicles including lube, oil, and filter changes. Perform diagnosis and minor mechanical repairs of customer vehicles. Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting systems worked on. Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles. Communicate with customer and/or sales staff in understandable terms the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value that comes with the repairs. Perform on the road repairs. Assume other responsibilities as assigned by manager or senior mechanics. Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policies and procedures, and follows all federal, state and local laws regarding vehicle operations and safety. Requirements Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree a plus. Minimum of 1 year of experience with appropriate certifications, preferred with own mechanical tools. Valid Drivers license with DOT medical card required. Ability to lift 125 lbs
