As the Importer of Record, Lumber yard, and Architectural Millwork House we have total quality control throughout the entire supply chain from the forest anywhere in the world all the way to your job site. With centuries of experience, we are a powerful supplier of both domestic and imported, exotic hardwood lumber such as Teak, Sapele, Genuine Mahogany, Black Walnut, and Ipe. J. Gibson McIlvain is more than just materials and with our comprehensive architectural millwork facility, we offer custom millwork services from interior trim and cabinetry to exterior siding, pergolas, and furniture. Responsibilities Create maintenance schedules for all equipment, to include heavy machinery and diesel forklifts Diesel engine knowledge, forklift repair and maintenance Boiler and pressure vessel knowledge or willing to learn Ability to troubleshoot and repair material handling and lumber milling equipment. Capable of ordering and inventory of parts Maximize equipment operation by creating and scheduling preventative maintenance Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues Maintain grounds, including garden and yard upkeep, trimming, edging, mowing lawn, collecting trash, etc. Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, etc. Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems
Requirements:
Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a corporate setting Mechanically inclined, ability to troubleshoot various equipment/machines Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings Passion for creative problem solving Excellent oral and written communication skills Physical Abilities Long periods of standing and walking Stooping, kneeling and crouching when repairing or maintaining equipment Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75lbs
