Wireless Technician

Our client provides turnkey wireless telecommunications solutions supporting major carrier networks across the region.

The RF Technician will support small cell and ODAS deployments for major wireless carriers. Technicians work in teams of 2 to 4 and are responsible for the installation, alignment, testing, and troubleshooting of wireless network equipment. This role involves mounting and testing Remote Radio Heads (RRHs), antennas, and related RF equipment. No integration work is currently required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing, mounting, and aligning antennas, RRHs, and associated RF equipment.
• Performing testing and troubleshooting using OTDRs, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and other RF testing tools.
• Conducting PIM and sweep testing, including coaxial cable testing.
• Supporting small cell, rooftop, and ODAS deployments.
• Assisting with 5G upgrades, site modifications, warehouse pre-builds, and equipment staging.
• Interacting professionally with customers and site stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Supporting both field installations and warehouse staging activities as needed.

This position offers exposure to a variety of wireless technologies and deployment environments, including small cells, rooftop installations, and distributed antenna systems.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting small cell networks.
• Experience mounting RF equipment, including antennas and Remote Radio Heads.
• Experience working with equipment from major OEMs such as Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung.
• Experience performing PIM testing, sweep testing, and coaxial cable testing.
• Proficiency with OTDRs, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and related test equipment.
• Experience supporting rooftop wireless installations. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience operating boom lifts or lift trucks. Additional Skills

• Typical work schedule is 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, though flexibility may be required.
• Team members typically meet at the shop before traveling to project sites.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of White Marsh, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
