Job Description
Are you a skilled mechanic who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently? Join our team at Robbins Lumber in Searsmont, Maine, where your work plays a vital role in keeping our operation moving. We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated mechanic to maintain and repair a wide variety of trucks, heavy equipment, forklifts, loaders, and sawmill support equipment. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and drivetrains.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on trucks, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Work safely while following all company safety procedures.
- Assist with fabrication and other mechanical projects as needed. Qualifications
- Experience repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license required. CDL is a plus but not required. What We Offer
