Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this vital role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence in transportation services. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and construction machinery using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems with precision. Utilize schematics, diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to troubleshoot issues effectively. Perform fabrication tasks such as welding and assembly to repair or modify equipment as needed. Service heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other construction machinery to ensure optimal performance. Complete detailed maintenance records and reports for all repairs performed. Assist with heavy lifting and tire service to support overall equipment readiness. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment machinery including construction equipment servicing and farm machinery maintenance. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex equipment issues. Experience working with Caterpillar or similar OEM brands is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC systems on vehicles/equipment, and heavy equipment operation is a plus. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and perform soldering when necessary. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
