Diesel Mechanic R&J Johnson Farms is looking for experienced diesel mechanic to work on Semi tractors. Mainly international prostars with cummins isx engines, couple others.

Position Summary:

The primary role of the Diesel Mechanic is to maintain and repair Semi equipment on the farm or in the field as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Complete preventative maintenance on various types of diesels (Cummins, Detroit, Perkins) including oil changes, coolant temperature sensors, electrical system checks & more. Accurately document all repairs on the repair order along with a note about any additional work required. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow all safety rules and regulations in the work area Perform assigned physical tasks that require lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., transport of parts and equipment around the plant or customer locations) Complete inventory control as assigned (including all parts and equipment in the plant or customer location) Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain safe & clean work area. Open machines when needed to ensure that all parts are accounted for.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in agricultural equipment repair, preferably John Deere.
