Job Description

Join Our Team as a Bus & Diesel Technician! We need a proven, tech-savvy self-starter who thrives under general direction. Your responsibilities will include completing vehicle repairs to meet Company, State, and Federal requirements. You'll play a vital role in our operations, from parts purchasing to handling inclement weather duties and facility repairs/upkeep. Essential Duties & Responsibities:
Integrate into the Trobec's culture of safety, professionalism, and service. Diagnose and perform repairs on gas and diesel engines, drivelines, suspension, steering, brakes, air systems, HVAC, tires, and electrical systems. Demonstrate competence in utilizing technology tools for diagnosis and repair. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and thrive in a shop that utilizes technology. Demonstrate competence in diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot more complex engine and chassis problems. Produce quality on-time repairs. Follow company and manufacturer service intervals. Perform preventative maintenance as directed on schedule while inspecting and noting any deficiencies. Recognize component failures and suggest repairs as necessary to comply with current DOT safety standards. Participate in weekly maintenance meetings with other technicians and operations personnel. Accurately communicate in-service vehicle availability. Direct daily repair schedules to maximize performance and productivity within the department. Maintain a clean, well-organized work area. Effectively work independently or as a team. Participate in training and further education as directed.
