Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and transmissions using schematics and specialized diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension checks, and air brake system servicing to maximize equipment uptime. Repair and overhaul construction machinery, farm equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment with precision and attention to detail. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure proper fitment and functionality. Troubleshoot complex equipment issues including electrical diagnostics, hydraulic leaks, powertrain problems, and HVAC systems to identify root causes swiftly. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; interpret schematics and technical manuals for accurate repairs. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform equipment assembly or disassembly during repairs or upgrades to ensure safety standards are met. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong mechanical knowledge across heavy machinery and automotive repair is essential. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, schematics interpretation, equipment troubleshooting, and diesel engine repair techniques. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software to perform precise repairs. Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, loaders, forklifts, and other industrial equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environments; familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Certification or training in diesel engine diagnostics, air brake systems, hydraulics or HVAC systems is highly desirable.
