Job Summary Wallace Industrial is seeking a skilled and reliable All-Around Mechanic to join our tight-knit team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience and is comfortable working independently on Units ranging from CMV vehicles down to small engines. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles, hydro blasters, small pressure washers and various amounts of industry specific equipment acting as a trusted advisor to ensure safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using advanced scanners and diagnostic software.

Preventative Maintenance:

Perform oil changes, fluid flushes, tire changes/rotations, brake services, and tune-ups efficiently.

Major/Minor Repairs:

Repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and braking systems to factory specifications.

Workflow Management:

Maintain detailed work logs/records, prepare repair estimates, and order parts.

Shop Stewardship:

Keep shop and work bay clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements & Skills Experience:

5+ years of professional Commercial repair experience.

Extra Ability's:

MIG and Stick Welding, Wiring/Electrical, Commercial tire experience.

Certifications:

heavy duty diesel technician strongly preferred.

Technical Versatility:

Deep understanding of modern automotive systems.

Versatility:

Capable of working on various makes and models.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving, honesty, and clear communication skills.

Physical Ability:

Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs unassisted and work in awkward positions.

Licensing:

Valid Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.

Availability:

Normal shop hours are Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM but will be on call during off time for emergency repairs.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
