Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, alignment checks, and replacing shocks & struts to prolong vehicle lifespan. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately. Fabricate and modify parts using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair needs or customizations. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery safely and efficiently during maintenance or repair tasks. Inspect and repair vehicle systems for truck drivers and fleet operators, ensuring compliance with safety standards like air brake systems and HVAC components. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed to ensure transparency and accountability. Skills Proven experience with heavy equipment operation, automotive diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; adept at using power tools and hand tools for assembly and repairs. Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex machinery including industrial equipment, farm machinery, and heavy trucks. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large vehicles or equipment; excellent heavy equipment operation skills. Experience with tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repair for trucks and industrial vehicles.
