Tarheel Paving & Asphalt Co. - Western North Carolina Tarheel Paving & Asphalt Co. is seeking a skilled Diesel / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and supporting our paving operations by ensuring our equipment and fleet are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on asphalt paving equipment, including pavers, rollers, milling machines, and support equipment Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components Complete preventative maintenance on company fleet and equipment Respond to field service calls as needed Maintain accurate service and repair records

Qualifications:

Proven experience working with diesel engines and heavy equipment Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience with paving equipment preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team CDL is a plus, but not required

Compensation & Benefits:
