Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components across various heavy equipment and vehicles Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension checks, and air brake system inspections Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, hand tools, power tools, and schematics to meet specific repair needs Conduct heavy equipment operation and vehicle systems diagnostics to identify issues accurately Mobile service calls for tire changes and small repairs Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs performed Use technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems Assist with equipment assembly, installation, and preventive maintenance to maximize operational uptime Experience Proven experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or in a similar automotive or heavy equipment repair role Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy truck repair, equipment, and tractor-trailers Proficiency in automotive electrical system repair, HVAC systems for vehicles/equipment, hydraulics, shocks & struts, and suspension systems Skilled in the use of schematics for diagnostics and repairs; experience with welding and soldering is a plus Ability to operate heavy machinery safely including excavators, forklifts, and other heavy equipment Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs primarily only needed during service calls Physical ability for heavy lifting, working in confined spaces or at heights as required for equipment servicing This position is fully paid and offers an engaging environment where your technical expertise makes a real impact.
