Full Job Description Benefits:
Free uniforms Paid time off 401(k) Competitive salary Twin Towing is seeking a seasoned Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team, focusing on maintaining our diverse fleet, including light and heavy-duty tow trucks, tractors, trailers, and various other types of heavy equipment. This is a full-time opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in their workmanship and possesses a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance (PM) work and keep accurate records of routine maintenance to ensure operational efficiency. Conduct diagnostics, identify malfunctions, and undertake necessary repairs with precision. Efficiently replace and repair truck and trailer lighting systems and wiring, ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards. Welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment. Utilize understanding of computer diagnostics to interpret and address error codes and system alerts. Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to efficiently complete tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a comprehensive understanding of both light and heavy-duty vehicles and heavy equipment. Must possess personal set of tools suitable for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. Proficiency in welding and fabrication, with a knack for precision and safety. Strong competency in using diagnostic software and interpreting computer-generated error codes. Ability to perform physical tasks and lift objects as required by the job. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication abilities, capable of working as part of a team and independently.
