Job Description

For over a century, Slomin s has been a trusted name in Long Island homes, from home security to home heating and cooling. Slomin s is a family-owned company, with deep local roots, a loyal customer base, and a reputation built on doing the job right. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Holtsville, NY location.

Responsibilities:

Diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling oil delivery trucks, vans, hi-cube trucks, company vehicles, and other diesel- and gasoline-powered equipment. Performing preventative maintenance and repairs to help ensure company vehicles and equipment remain safe and reliable. Ensuring repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with applicable New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and requirements.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role. A complete set of applicable mechanical tools. Knowledge of New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and requirements . A valid CDL license is preferred .

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00
