Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension components using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals. Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, skid steers, tractors, and heavy equipment used in industrial settings. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, cutting, soldering, and power tools to meet specific operational needs. Troubleshoot equipment issues including electrical diagnostics, hydraulic failures, tire service, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and HVAC systems. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate. Support the operation of heavy equipment when necessary while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics with a focus on diesel engine diagnostics and repair. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and trailers. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, schematics reading, and electrical diagnostics to troubleshoot complex issues. Expertise in automotive diagnostics combined with electrical experience for comprehensive vehicle maintenance. Ability to perform equipment troubleshooting across diverse systems such as hydraulics, suspensions, HVAC units, air brakes, and transmissions. Experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding repair needs and solutions.

Pay:

$30.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
