Job Description

Large truck dealership looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic. Competitive pay, benefits, 401k, and room for growth in the organization.
Job Description:
Performs scheduled maintenance including changing oil, filters, checking lights, tires & greasing, replace or repair light components and perform operations check Repairs and maintains a diversified fleet of trucks and equipment according to company preventive maintenance guidelines. Ensure all equipment are repaired up to Federal Commercial Motor Carrier DOT standards.
Responsibilities:
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair. Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Training offered Will work under a
Shop Lead or Foreman Requirements:
Valid driver's license and pass and Motor Vehicle Record check Be able to lift up to 70 lbs., frequently stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, walk, use of fine manipulation skills. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Pass background and drug test Must be authorized to work in the United States Computer skills, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Internet Browser Valid CDL is a plus (Not Mandatory, must be willing to apply) NYS Heavy Duty Inspectors license is a plus (not mandatory, must be willing to apply) Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and additional shifts as assigned Must be available to willing to adapt Must have minimum tools to perform the maintenance and repair work Be motivated, proactive, focused and well organized Maintain high level of professionalism.

$25.00 - $55.00 per hour
