Job Description

Job Summary The Diesel Truck Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of diesel trucks to ensure their efficient and safe operation. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that our trucks are reliable and able to meet the demands of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on diesel trucks, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system diagnostics. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and related components. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve engine and system faults. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed. Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize repairs and ensure minimal downtime. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during all repair and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a heavy truck environment. Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Must have a valid driver's license; CDL is a plus. Must have your own tools
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling. Ability to work in various weather conditions.
