The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance/repair of diesel and gasoline engines. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, which includes heavy equipment. The Mechanic will work utilizing their technical expertise to diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs. Equipment being worked on will include snowplows, loaders, backhoes and other gas and diesel vehicles Duties Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting and diagnostics. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to assess mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair techniques specific to diesel and gas engines. Experience operating heavy equipment and understanding its mechanical systems. Proficient in using hand tools, forklifts, and other mechanical equipment. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
