Full Job Description Heavy Diesel & Equipment Mechanic Compensation:
$30 - $38 per hour (Depending on experience) Employment type: Full-Time Here is your opportunity to take your career to the next level.
BARBERTON TREE SERVICE
is looking for someone to work on diagnosing, troubleshooting, performance maintenance, and repair of auto, truck, and heavy-duty tree-service trucks and mulch equipment. The right candidate will have at least 5-10 years of practical experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Proficiency in the use of all tools and a current, valid Ohio driver's license are a must. A Class A CDL is preferred.
Job Description:
We are looking to fill a key position with a very motivated person interested in developing a career with a well-known tree service company doing business in Summit County. This person will be a self-starter and interested in helping improve the company and its fleet. This person will assist with the entire fleet of equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining a fleet of gas, diesel vehicles, and large heavy equipment Assist in maintaining hydraulic equipment Assist with the purchasing of necessary parts for vehicle/equipment maintenance Assist in managing routine maintenance schedules Assist with maintaining vehicle/equipment files & documentation
Qualifications:
Experience in heavy-duty engine repair & rebuilds Welding experience Experience with DT466, International, and Cummins engine repair Computer literate and Microsoft Office a must, experience with fleet management software a plus Electrical troubleshooting High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience (or equivalent combination of related education & experience) Experience with Tub Grinders, Trommel Screens, Aerial lifts, Chippers, and Bucket Trucks are a plus Experience with DOT vehicle inspections
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Work schedule is Monday - Friday with some weekend rotation.
