Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. PAY will be based off of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and machinery. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and construction machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment including Semi's, tractors, and other machinery. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering top-tier service to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems and electrical diagnostics tools Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as Semi's tractors-trailers and Trucks Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime through mechanical knowledge and equipment troubleshooting techniques Replace or repair components including belts, hoses, filters, tires, brakes and transmissions to maintain optimal performance Use power tools and hand tools safely for assembly, disassembly, welding, soldering, and equipment repair tasks Maintain detailed service records and diagnostic reports; interpret schematics for accurate repairs Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols; support heavy equipment operation when required Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members and clients regarding repair status and maintenance needs Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, suspension components, and air brake systems Skilled in electrical diagnostics and automotive diagnostics for complex troubleshooting Experience working with heavy equipment such as Semi's, trailers, and trucks Ability to read schematics accurately Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and metalwork for custom repairs or modifications desired Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and repair efficiency Excellent communication skills; committed to safety standards and quality workmanship Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically fit for demanding tasks in various weather conditions Join our team as a Diesel Mechanic if you're ready to bring your expertise to a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real impact!
