Job description We're hiring a Diesel Mechanic to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on diesel, hydraulic, and electric mobile equipment at our Cuyahoga Heights, OH location. This role ensures operational efficiency and safety compliance in a fast-paced steel mill environment with onsite work and day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain diesel, hydraulic, and electric mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Perform thorough maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on machinery, including electrical and lighting systems, to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality control spot checks, review repair orders, and test equipment for performance to uphold high safety and operational standards.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, environmental, and site-specific safety regulations to maintain a secure workplace for employees and visitors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns efficiently while working with minimal supervision in a collaborative team setting.
  • Utilize strong mechanical aptitude and computer skills to document repairs and maintain accurate service records. Job benefits

  • 5+ years of experience in mobile maintenance, focusing on diesel and hydraulic heavy equipment repair and diagnostics.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret equipment service manuals, troubleshoot breakdowns, and perform quality control checks.
