Overview Looking for a diesel mechanic for pickups and some class 6-8 trucks as well as some ag equipment Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, and HVAC systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, and equipment inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Troubleshoot mechanical issues on construction machinery such as pickups, dump trucks, box trucks, tractors, and other heavy equipment using hand tools and power tools. Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance procedures when necessary. Maintain detailed service records, update schematics for repairs performed, and ensure compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and schematics for repairs. Ability to perform diesel engine diagnostics and repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills; capable of heavy lifting when necessary. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to team members or clients when required.
