Job Description
Diesel/Repair Mechanic We are seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel/Repair Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing processing and transportation equipment, including diesel, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and diesel equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections. Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Weld and fabricate parts as needed. Dismantle, clean, lubricate, adjust, and replace equipment components. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals. Order parts and maintain work orders and repair records. Recommend improvements to equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Supervise and train 2-5 employees within the Transport Repair team. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous mechanical, diesel, or equipment repair experience preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems. Ability to read and understand technical instructions, blueprints, and equipment manuals. Basic math skills and good communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to safely lift and move up to 75 pounds. Work Environment This is a hands-on position that involves working indoors and outdoors and around moving machinery, wet conditions, electrical equipment, and elevated areas. Employees are required to follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE, including a hard hat, safety vest, and eye protection. Respiratory protection is required for certain cutting and burning operations.
