Monday thru
Friday:
3pm-11pm Join the Way Delivery team! We're a dependable, family-owned business based in Lancaster County. Join our team as a Diesel Mechanic and play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment. You'll be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring our vehicles operate safely and efficiently. This position requires a skilled mechanic with a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in various cars, vans, tractors, trailers, passenger vehicles, liftgates and company equipment - brake pads, hoses, leaks, etc.
  • The ability to do state inspections and emissions
  • Perform both routine and preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, state inspections and brake inspections.
Tool and Equipment Operation:
Proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, including power drills, saws, air tools, and impact guns.
  • Possess and maintain a valid CDL Class A license to operate and road-test heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and supporting equipment transport as needed.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic 5+ years of experience Inspection license Valid CDL A license Basic Computer Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or equivalent. Adaptability to shift tasks based on business needs 3. Physical requirements necessary include constant standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, with infrequent opportunities to sit. 4. Ability to lift up to 150lbs 5. A commitment to safety 6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Weekly pay and a competitive hourly rate + overtime (DOE) Benefits after 90 days:

$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
