In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including construction machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support our operational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment and a commitment to excellence in service. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension components using OEM schematics and advanced diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently by interpreting schematics and troubleshooting guides to identify root causes. Service and repair vehicle systems including brake systems, alignments, HVAC systems, tire services, and electrical diagnostics. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed and parts used; ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of heavy machinery during repairs or upgrades; perform heavy lifting as needed with proper safety procedures. Experience Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician in dealership or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of construction equipment servicing including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other farm or industrial machinery. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, hydraulics, schematics reading, and equipment troubleshooting. Familiarity with OEM parts and repair procedures for Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands. Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software. Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus; knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical systems is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high attention to detail in maintenance tasks.
