Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles at various job sites. Your expertise will ensure that equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our clients' operations across industries such as construction, agriculture, transportation, and industrial services. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components of heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension work, and air brake system checks to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate and modify parts or components using welding, hand tools, power tools, and schematics to meet specific job requirements. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently on job sites. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using detailed schematics and technical manuals; accurately identify root causes for repairs. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and quality assurance. Assist with equipment assembly, alignment procedures, hydraulics repair, HVAC systems maintenance, and other specialized tasks as needed. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, brakes (including air brake systems), and electrical systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of using hand tools and power tools effectively. Experience operating heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm or industrial equipment. Ability to read schematics accurately to diagnose electrical or mechanical issues; familiarity with automotive electrical system repair is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical ability for heavy lifting, working at heights or confined spaces; comfortable performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
