Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair a mixed fleet of semi-trucks and trailers and airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This role is critical to keeping our semi-truck operations and airport ground handling activities running safely and on schedule. The ideal candidate has strong diesel and heavy equipment experience and thrives in a fast-paced environment that demands both quality workmanship and rapid turnaround. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on semi trucks and trailer Service and repair airport GSE including baggage tugs, belt loaders, pushback tractors, deicers, air start units, ground power units (GPUs), cargo loaders, etc. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems using diagnostic tools, schematics, and manufacturer manuals. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts documentation. Respond to breakdowns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with drivers, ground handlers, and operations teams to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as heavy equipment mechanic. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; Class A CDL a strong plus but not required. Pass 10 year FBI background check (to receive airport badge) Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in all weather conditions, and maneuver around aircraft safely.
Schedule, Pay, Benefits:
Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm (1hr lunch) $22.50-24.50/hr base pay (straight pay) $5.50/hr Health and Wellness (up to 40 hrs) 2 weeks paid vacation per year of work complete 1hr/30hr sick leave
Health, Vision, and Dental Plans Available Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
