Overview Join our dynamic team as a Thermo King Reefer Unit Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining the integrity and efficiency of refrigerated transport systems. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Thermo King refrigeration units on trailers to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Your expertise will keep perishable goods fresh and transportation running smoothly, providing critical support to our logistics operations. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on Thermo King reefer units, including refrigeration systems, electrical components, and mechanical parts. Diagnose issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools, ohmmeters, and other equipment troubleshooting techniques. Repair Thermoking units, and related mechanical systems to ensure reliable operation. Install new Thermo king reefer units, following detailed schematics and design specifications. Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently in the field. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs for compliance and future reference. Skills Extensive construction experience with mechanical systems repair and refreegerate unit system installation. Proven service technician experience in refrigeration or property maintenance environments. Strong understanding of schematics, electrical diagnostics and building automation systems. Skilled in plumbing, boiler operation, appliance repair, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Ability to operate hand tools effectively; familiar with ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC system maintenance best practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience with electrical diagnostics is highly desirable. Experience working as a van driver or field service technician is a plus for mobility requirements.
