Role:

Central Buses is seeking a skilled fleet mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position plays a critical role in keeping our school buses safe, reliable, and ready to serve students across our community. Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on school buses Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Conduct DOT-required inspections and maintain accurate service records Ensure all repairs meet safety and compliance standards Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep the fleet running efficiently Respond to road calls when needed

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience as a diesel, fleet, or heavy-vehicle mechanic Familiarity with school bus or commercial vehicle systems Understanding of DOT regulations and inspection procedures Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Minimum Requirements:

Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass background and drug screening Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in a shop environment Commitment to safety and dependable work habits Why Join Central Buses?
