2 positions available Tools can be provided or you may use your own. Need to be proficient in all automotive mechanics as we maintain large fleets of gas and diesel vehicles We can/will train to a certain extent but must understand the basics Pay based on experience Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background with expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, as well as maintaining various types of heavy equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. The ability to work in and out of the shop if need be, service truck provided. The ability to work alone when need be, and have strong time management skills Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including tractor-trailers and other heavy equipment. Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and implement effective solutions. Operate and maintain various tools and equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and hydraulic systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the shop or on-site. Skills Proficient in automotive diagnostics with a strong understanding of diesel mechanics. Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery is highly desirable. Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
