Job Description

Diesel Mechanic Location :
Arlington, TX Schedule:
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00
PM Compensation:
$18+/hr. (based on experience) + full benefits Southwest International Trucks is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Arlington Team . This full-time role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and company incentives.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system failures Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of component parts and systems Repair and adjust engines including CAT, Cummins, Allison, and International Service drive trains including Eaton, Meritor, and Spicer Install and repair truck and engine equipment Utilize welding skills when applicable Complete assigned tasks within established timeframes Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in diesel mechanics Ability to independently diagnose and repair major components Proficiency in reading and interpreting instructional manuals and diagnostic charts Familiarity with computer diagnostics (preferred) Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred Ownership of tools and toolbox (rent-to-own program available) Additional Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Pre-employment drug screening Pre-employment physical examination
