Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic specializing in semi-trucks and heavy-duty vehicles! In this vital role, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of diesel-powered equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety on the road. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems of semi-trucks and heavy-duty equipment Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, and shock & strut replacements to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs Inspect vehicles for compliance with safety standards like air brake systems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection logs to ensure accountability and traceability of all maintenance activities Requirements Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with a focus on semi-trucks or heavy-duty vehicles Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, HVAC systems, suspension components, and vehicle electrical systems Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic codes effectively Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques required for equipment repair Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during inspections and repairs Valid certifications in automotive diagnostics or heavy equipment mechanics are advantageous; relevant licenses such as CDL or forklift certification are a plus Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about repair needs and procedures Join us in keeping our trucks on the road reliable and safe!
