Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with minimal supervision on both basic and complex maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters and lubricate components. Perform mechanical repairs under minimal supervision including the repair of brakes and brake inspections, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches and other repairs. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain parts usage records and order repair parts from designated suppliers. Diagnoses and performs accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair under minimal supervision. May perform diagnostic tests utilizing a computer and manufacturer's software to determine mechanical defects. Tech I- Lead preventative maintenance (PM's), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage Tech I
- Remove, overhaul and reinstallation of mechanical components with minimal Tech in Charge supervision Tech II
- Assist Tech III with preventative maintenance (PM's), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage Tech II
- Remove and replace engine, transmission and differential assemblies with Maintenance Technician III supervision.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred) Class A or B CDL with passenger and air brake endorsement required (or expected within 3 months of hire) ASE Certification preferred. Must participate in ASE testing program (expected to have 2 ASE within 6 months of hire) Tech II- Intermediate mechanical aptitude and 3 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience

- Mechanical aptitude and 2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience Adhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards Valid driver's license Intermediate problem-solving ability Maintain an organized shop and clean work environment Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers Possess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintained in a clean and safe manner Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
