GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Maintains, diagnoses and repairs commercial vehicles and related equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Successfully repair equipment as assigned, controlling down time. 2. Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment within specified Service Repair Times (SRT). 3. Follows established maintenance procedures and guidelines. 4. Safety procedures are followed at all times. 5. Accurately complete all required forms. 6. Enter repair orders accurately in the computer. 7. Is dependable and available for work when needed. 8. Contributes to the team effort by recommending improved processes. 9. Works well with others within the department and company. 10.Contributes to department goals by accomplishing related results as needed. 11.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending and participate in appropriate training. 12.Ensures company confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Prefer Highschool or
GED PLUS
additional education in a specialized field (vocational trade school, two-year college, etc.), plus 2 - 5 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Prefer two years on the job training/experience and diploma in vehicle maintenance from vocational or trade school. Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results.
