Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel and Gas Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel and gas-powered equipment. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel and gasoline engines using schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, and transmission servicing to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency. Repair and fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication skills to meet specific project requirements. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC units to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial machinery by performing alignment checks and suspension repairs. Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and perform electrical diagnostics to resolve wiring issues or component failures. Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as needed while ensuring safety standards are strictly followed during all repair processes. Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice on equipment operation and maintenance best practices. Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations related to heavy lifting, tire service, welding safety standards, and environmental protocols. Qualifications Proven experience working as a mechanic in dealership settings or heavy equipment environments with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other farm or industrial equipment safely and efficiently. Proficiency in reading schematics for electrical systems along with solid mechanical knowledge across transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, shocks & struts. Skilled in the use of hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, grinders), welding equipment (MIG/TIG), soldering irons & other fabrication tools. Knowledge of automotive repair including brake systems, wheel alignment procedures, tire service & vehicle maintenance practices. Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in automotive diagnostics and electrical system repairs. Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs or maintenance tasks; familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction through quality workmanship.
