Job Description
We are hiring a Field Service Mechanic. CTOS supplies a fully equipped utility truck, including a crane, welder, and compressor. Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be willing to work overtime and travel as needed. Serve as the field expert diagnosing and repairing specialized utility equipment Work on bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, service trucks, and related equipment Diagnose, repair, and maintain aerial, construction, and light/heavy-duty truck systems Perform inspections, troubleshooting, parts replacement, and repairs on rental, customer, and company units.
Summary:
- Primary responsibility is to perform vehicle troubleshooting, repair and maintenance work on chassis and track mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail, and other equipment, in accordance with dealer and factory standards, in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to Service Manager, who will provide brief description of issues and supporting information related to the vehicle.
Preferred Skills:
- Electrical, schematic / blueprints, hydraulic, welding, and related experience Experience with Quick Serve, DTNA, or related diagnostic software. DOT, ANSI, and Dielectric testing desired
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED. Five years of related experience. (Shop Tech and Field Tech) Must hold a valid driver's license. (CDL Class B preferred.) Must have your own tools. Proficient in documentation using software, meeting deadlines and schedules.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly work in outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions.
