Job Summary:

As a Diesel / Industrial Vehicle Mechanic at STS Technical Services, you'll maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of vehicles and machinery. This includes working on everything from over-the-road trucks to forklifts, trailers, and jockey trucks. If you enjoy working hands-on, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair various diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and vehicle computer systems. Perform routine diagnostic and post-repair inspections on vehicles, ensuring accuracy and safety. Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks, forklifts, trailers, and other industrial equipment. Work with air brakes, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing brake systems as needed. Replace components such as headlights, wiper motors, belts, seats, windows, brake chambers, and more. Align wheels, change tires, and maintain general vehicle upkeep. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area in accordance with industry standards. Document work hours, parts used, and services provided. Perform test drives to ensure equipment is functioning properly.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or industrial equipment repair (experience with diesel engines and heavy trucks is a plus). Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and trucks. Must be able to obtain a TWIC card and pass a background check and drug screen. Basic computer skills; knowledge of work order systems and inventory software is a plus. Valid driver's license required.
