Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic Lead to oversee and perform maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and diesel engines. This role combines hands-on mechanical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and heavy truck repair, along with the ability to manage a team of mechanics effectively. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of diesel mechanics, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow. Perform complex repairs and diagnostics on heavy trucks, including diesel engine repairs, transmission work, brake systems, and other critical components. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot mechanical issues accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools and technical manuals. Ensure all repair work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service history for each vehicle or piece of equipment. Coordinate with management to prioritize repair schedules and allocate resources effectively. Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and best practices in diesel mechanics and heavy truck repair. Experience Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair and heavy truck maintenance. Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred, demonstrating the ability to manage a team of mechanics. Strong diagnostic skills with familiarity in using various mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy machinery repair is essential. Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay:

$42.00 - $56.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
